Asch the Bloody - Rivelata

Luke fon Fabre was a regular, if slightly taciturn, child. He was born into the house of Fabre in ND 2000; his father was a duke, his mother the sister of King Ingobert of Baticul. His fiancée was the princess Natalia, after a promise made by two children to change the world for the better. Then, when he was ten years old, he was taken to Choral Castle by Van Grants and replicated. His family, his friends, his life—all were stolen by the replica.

He joined the Oracle Knights and changed his name to Asch—the burnt-out remnants of the man he was prophesied to become, the sacred flame of Lorelei. For a time, he even swore allegiance to Van, the very man who gave his life away to another Luke fon Fabre. But when Van revealed the true details of his vision for the world's future—to crush the power of Yulia's score by creating a replica world populated by replicas—Asch rebelled. After all, Asch the Bloody had already seen a replica inherit his family, his friends, his life. The only problem was, to go against Van was to ally himself with those trying to stop him: a group led by the replica himself.

Asch's inability to let his guard down, the raw edge to his voice, the violence with which he refuses to see eye to eye with his replica have all but destroyed any possibility for him to do the one thing he perhaps desires most: to return home. His certainty of superiority masks the fear and the knowledge that he has been utterly replaced.
