Character Info
NAME: Dr. Henry "Indiana" Walton Jones, Jr. (Indiana preferred.)
FANDOM: Indiana Jones, movie canon only.
TIMELINE PERIOD: 1940, two years after The Last Crusade

Character Background
Prof. Henry Jones is your everyman university professor. He is a legitimate archaeologist, dedicated to using scientific methods to better understand the archaeological record. He is kind, attractive and intelligent, but it is clear that there is much more to him than what is seen in the classroom.

“Indiana” is Henry Jones true personality. It is not necessarily contradictory to his classroom persona, but it is definitely more audacious. Indiana is more adventurer than archaeologist. He is cocky and fallible and very human. His adventures usually explore the spiritual aspect of humanity, and he is no stranger to supernatural phenomenon. Indiana himself battles with the duality of faith and science. He does like his science, but not enough to open his eyes when the Lost Ark is cracked.

He has skills, not abilities, hard learned over time. He is excellent at solving puzzles, disarming booby traps and seeing beyond the surface of a situation. He sees the reasoning and methodology behind the world around him. Because of his archaeological background he is very adept at understanding different cultures using the historical, ethnographic, and material resources available to him and he is very comfortable in a culturally diverse atmosphere. He packs a serious punch, as well as a Webley Mk VI revolver. He hates snakes and Nazis, in that order.

Don’t ask about his daddy issues, he carries a whip and knows how to use it.
