THE FAIRYTALE

To many, Natalia is simply the stuck up heir to the throne of Kimlasca. 18, pretty, rich, engaged to Luke Fon Fabre, she seems to have a perfect life. A capable archer, a seventh fonist, she seems so special. And for a while she believes it as well, she bosses Luke around, she takes charge with only her name to recommend her, she acts like everyone should follow her, should obey her.

THE POISONED APPLE

But, as she travels through Auldrant, she finds herself changing... enjoying being just "Natalia" and joking with her companions... until her world comes crashing down with the realization that the boy she has been engaged to all these years, the boy without a memory, who has come back to her so different, so uninterested in her... wasn't really him at all, but a replica. She understands that she has desperately clung to a lie all those years. And when she finally meets Asch, Asch who remembers everything Luke didn't, she thinks that she has found her answer.

But nothing really is as it seems. She discovers she isn't royalty after all, that she was switched, as a baby, with the King and Queen's stillborn daughter. Her whole life was one big lie from start to finish. But Asch didn't seem to mind, although he always kept a slightly awkward distance between them, for her... he was her strength... he made her feel that because she wasn't born a princess, it didn't mean she couldn't be a princess, that she couldn't help her people and change the world for the better...

They will save the world. And then, they will change it. Together.

SO MUCH FOR THAT HAPPY ENDING...

What she doesn't know yet, is that there are no such things as happy endings, at least in Auldrant.
