HISTORY:
Hundreds of years ago in an ancient land, gods and mortals lived in harmony. The world was ruled primarily by two goddesses – Palutania the Goddess of Light, and Medusa, the Goddess of Darkness.
One day, Medusa gathered an army of demons and overtook the Palace in the Sky, Palutania's home. The sheer size of the army and the fact that Palutania was taken by surprise ensured Medusa's victory. Medusa imprisoned Palutania in the Underworld, along with her servants, the Angels. In addition, Medusa stole away the three Sacred Treasures of Palutania, powerful artifacts of light, and bestowed them upon her minions.
Palutania could not escape – Medusa had been too clever for that. However, she used the last of her strength to bestow upon one of her Angels a powerful weapon, the Bow of Palutania, so that he could escape. This Angel was probably the last person she would have chosen – he was barely a child by Angel standards – but he was the only person small enough to escape.
This Angel was named Pit, and he would go on to prove that size and age matter very little in such matters.
Pit succeeded in his sacred mission, not only escaping the Underworld and retrieving the three sacred treasures, but defeating Medusa as well. This freed Palutania, who then made Pit one of her generals.
In Rivelata, Pit made friends with Daine Serassi and Maximum Ride; unforutnately, he was killed by Rudy Cooper while trying to save Daine.
PERSONALITY, STRENGTHS, AND WEAKNESSES: Pit is optimistic, brave, and a powerful warrior despite his youth. On the other hand, though an Angel, he is, in personality, essentially a child. He is more than a little overconfident (perhaps rightly so, given that he defeated the Goddess of Darkness herself), but basically good-hearted and helpful. More than anything, he loves Palutania and would do anything if she asked it of him – she is, after all, his goddess and, in a way, his mother.
Abilities: Being an Angel, Pit has wings, but he cannot truly fly (without the aid of magic, anyway) – instead, he can glide, use his wings to gain a bit more height in a jump, and slow his falls (so that he does not hurt himself when falling).
