COMMON NAME: Greater Shadhavar
TYPE: Mammal, carnivorous hoofed beast
DESCRIPTION: Shadhavar are horse or camel-like creatures who inhabit the jungles of Rivelata. They attract prey by blowing air through their horns, which function as flutes. The music this process produces is siren-like, attracting weak-minded individuals of all species. Their mouths open almost the entire length of their head, and their teeth resemble hyena teeth; thick and powerful, and capable of cleaving bones in two.
Greater Shadhavar come in two varieties; the Royal Shadhavar more closely resemble Arabian horses with shorter necks and shorter hair. They were bred to look more like the unicorns of old lore by the Queen and her stablemen.
The Jungle Shadhavar more closely resembles a camel, having a longer neck and much shaggier hair. They are also much more dangerous and unpredictable, and unless they are trained from a young age, they do not respond well to human interaction.
The only species known to hunt shadhavar are packs of swiftbeast, who are seemingly immune to the songs of the shadhavar.
