Stuff ripped directly from his profile: Tamaki is the half-Japanese, half-French bastard child of Ouran's superintendent and his mother. Although coming from somewhat a somewhat tarnished background, he retains a cheerful naïvety that makes some people mistake him for a fool. He is far from it though, often placing second only after Kyouya (the resident genius). He also speak French and Japanese fluently and is quite infatuated with English too.

While he seems to be two-dimensional, Tamaki can easily see past façades to the person that lies underneath. In essence, the Host Club that he created serves as a spell he's woven to keep everyone happy. He will fight to see his friends safe, even if he won't be less than gentlemanly to any girl. Tamaki also tends to pick up other people's problems.

This might have something to do with why he's the club's most popular host. Although he's a ladies man, he truly and honestly believes everything he says. It's not empty sweet talk, although it may seem like it is.

Haruhi doesn't like it. And even though Tamaki would squish Haruhi to death because she's so adorable, he can't exactly change that. The twins, Hikaru and Kaoru, often make fun of him for being so chivalrous calling him Tono. Tamaki is prone to short bursts of extreme emotion - usually anger or angst.

Overly dramatic, it's no surprise that Tamaki has a certain flair for the piano. It's about the only talent he has besides flattering women, unless you can count being a "surrogate father" to Haruhi as a talent. He's not very good at that though.

In the end, Tamaki mostly just wants to keep the little family he created in the Host Club safe.

In Rivelata News: Tamaki went off to be awkward at comforting Kaoru. He has now freaked out over Renge and is presumed to be with Haruhi and Honey. I guess.
